Rachel Crader is the editor of semoball.com. She graduated from the University of Missouri School of Journalism in May of 2009 before spending the summer covering the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.

Highlights from Rachel's days in college include having a class down the hall from Chase Daniel and having NCAA wrestling champion Ben Askren hold the door open for her at Brady Commons, Mizzou's student center. She spent time covering Mizzou basketball, softball and baseball while working for the Columbia Missourian and is excited to return home to Southeast Missouri to cover local sports for semoball.com.

Rachel has covered three Southeast Missourian Christmas Tournaments for the Southeast Missourian and semoball.com, and she'll see you courtside again this year.

UPDATE No. 2: Simmons, Moses and Grantham drafted by Atlanta Braves

The Atlanta Braves drafted three Southeast Missouri players on Wednesday.

Marty Mishow will have all the details on this later, but Southeast Missouri State pitcher Shae Simmons and third baseman Trenton Moses both were selected.

Simmons was selected in the 22nd round and was the 689th overall pick.

Simmons, who graduated from Scott City High School, has another year of eligibility at Southeast if he wants to play for the Redhawks again next season.

Moses, the two-time OVC player of the year, was taken in the 26th round with the 809th overall pick. He does not have any eligibility remaining at Southeast.

Kennett pitcher Adam Grantham, who just completed his senior season for the Indians, was selected by the Braves in the 32nd round with pick No. 989. He has signed to play at Arkansas State, so he'll have to decide whether or not he want to forego playing in college.

So...who's tipping the Braves off to all this local talent?

Not sure if you're joking or not, cadult10. But just to be clear, Adam Grantham just finished his senior year in high school playing for the Kennett Indians. He is signed to play at Arkansas State next year.

Simmons and Moses played for the Southeast Redhawks, not Grantham.
