Poplar Bluff-Notre Dame webcast Friday

Posted Friday, February 10, 2012, at 3:49 PM

Friday night's game between the Notre Dame boys basketball team and Poplar Bluff will be show tonight on the Notre Dame Regional High School Network.

As with other online webcasting channels that can be found in the semoball family of newspapers and websites, the network was created as a partnership with the school and is operated by the school and its students.

Students are in charge of the production and the commentary. They are not professionals and should not be judged as such. However, the environment created by the students watching their school play often makes for some great entertainment.

You can access the channel here.

To answer the question you're probably going to ask. Yes, we hope to expand to other schools and look forward to bringing you more and more webcasts. Obviously, this sort of setup requires a significant commitment from schools and it takes time to get everything in order.

Here are links to the other networks:

Bernie

Bloomfield

Dexter

Senath-Hornersville

Glad to see other schools involved. I saw the headline and immediately thought of the "Longhorn network" and any college sports fan knows what that is used for :). Anyways, sounds like a great project and hopefully all semoball schools can be a part of it someday.
