Rob Tate has been with the Daily American Republic in Poplar Bluff, Mo. since August 2008 and is currently the assistant sports editor. Rob was born and raised in Clawson, Mich., just 14 miles north of Detroit and is an avid Tigers, Lions, Pistons, Red Wings and University of Michigan fan. He has also adopted the Rams and Mizzou to his favorites since moving to Missouri. He is a 2008 graduate of Oakland (Mich.) University where he received his bachelor of arts in journalism. Rob and his wife Sara live in Poplar Bluff.

BA All Star Extravaganza Rosters

The rosters for the BA All Star Extravaganza were released on Monday. The event takes place Saturday April 2 at the Dexter Bearcat Event Center. The day will start out with the volleyball game at 9 a.m. followed by the Class 1 and 2 boys basketball game , the girls basketball game and then the boys Class 3, 4 and 5 basketball game. Included throughout the day are the skills competitions which include the 3-point shootout and slam dunk contest.

The awards presentation concludes the festivities which features guest speaker Scott Kruse, a Dexter native, educator and founder of 18 Fore Life.

Cal won the dunk competition but josh had more points. one the final round the points are erased and highest score on final dunk wins. Josh used his best dunk first which scored a 50 and Cal got his 50 on his final so he won. But man were there some good dunks!! By far one of the best years!

All coaches in the area nominate the seniors on the team that they want...then a list is sent out to all the coaches and they vote on them. After the kids are chosen then the coaches get together and draft the teams.
